Ellijay's Dancing Goats Folk Fest is like a good old-fashioned Saturday-go-to-town Mountain Shindig - starting with a Juried show and sale of some of the best folk art you can find anywhere 'round these parts.
And it's Live, Home-Grown Foot-stompin' Music.
From Bluegrass to Country to down-home Mountain Ballads and everything in between... the Dancing Goats Folk Fest will feature musical entertainment from local favorites like: Roadkill Rangers, Double B Band, Trailer Hippies, Curtis & Kim Jones, plus special guests, Surrender Hill.

Yes, TWO Goat Beauty Pageants
We honor and have a little fun with a part of our agricultural tradition. Goats are no longer a common part of our mountain barbecues. They're more likely to be enjoyed as our pets. Proud owners will dress up their babies in their best finery and show them off for veggie bouquets both Saturday and Sunday. Watch our Facebook page for exact times. You'll want to cheer on your favorites. You can also vote online and onsite for you favorite goats.
